Coronavirus limitations across Australia could be facilitated across the nation in seven days

A choice on whether standard coronavirus limitations will lift has been presented to next Friday.

National Cabinet will meet twice in the coming week to choose what lockdown rules can start being moved back.

The first choice was expected on May 11.

PM Scott Morrison made the declaration on Friday following a gathering of National Cabinet.

"Australians have earned an early imprint through the work they have done," he told columnists in Canberra on Friday.

Morrison said he would not "preference" National Cabinet's choice next Friday by talking about which limitations might be lifted first.

He said National Cabinet would meet on Tuesday and Friday, with the center being which ventures can revive securely.


Australians have met 11 of the 15 conditions illustrated by the Australian Health Protection Principal Committee (AHPPC) for lifting limitations, he said.

They incorporate adhering to rules to constrain versatility and development, in this manner restricting the spread of the infection, and looking for higher testing.

One of the extraordinary conditions, he says, was a higher take-up in the COVIDSafe application.

Since it was discharged on Sunday, more than 3.5 million Australians have downloaded it.

Boss Medical Officer Dr Brendan Murphy said Australia had enrolled 6,675 coronavirus cases.

"We are still reliably getting under 20 new cases for each day over late days," he said.
